RER Saddlery is a boutique tack shop dedicated to the well being of the horse and the rider. Heather Dostal is an independent saddle fitter, carrying a variety of brands, both new & used. Her dedication to finding the right fit for both horse and rider led her to find a lovely network of women owned businesses that she is able to partner with. Through this network, she has access to over 20 brands of saddles. Lifelong equestrian, dressage trainer/pony club instructor, avid competitor and USDF 'L'graduate, Heather Dostal is passionate about finding the right tack for horses and ponies. This shop is a creation of the passion she has for helping riders find the correct equipment. She is well versed in how frustrating this process can be and eager to eliminate the frustration for her clients. Heather believes that every horse and rider partnership can thrive when provided with accurate tools. Heather has a deep love for the petite equine. Her love for ponies and her understanding of how hard they are to fit in tack has led her to create RER Saddlery. Heather has mentored with a variety of saddle and bridle fitters, she has attended courses by The Society of Master Saddlers for bridle and saddle fit in the UK. Heather has most recently trained in the Netherlands with Kingsley Saddles, head saddle fitter and designer Hans de Haas. 

In addition to RER Saddlery, Heather owns and operates a busy pony club riding and training center, RER Ponies with her loving husband and daughter in Hatfield, MA. 

Heather is shown here competing her GRP cross Connemara mare, Shadey Hills Golden Dream at the 2023, USDF region 8 championships. She affectionately owns 3 Welsh ponies, 3 Connemara's, one adorable Lusitano, and two QH crosses.
